The TrakMate software was originally developed in 1987 by NADA (National Automobile Dealers Association) based on their Sales Trak system. The system was a result of years of research on how dealerships could most effectively sell vehicles. For years, the TrakMate software was offered exclusively to NADA members as an affordable solution to give them an advantage over their competitors.

Rob Hilton and his team of programmers were contracted to write the TrakMate software. Hilton spent months working with NADA in conjunction with local dealerships to develop the software. Over the years, Hilton and his team have been responsible for all of the updates, revisions, and additions to the software.

In February 2001, Hilton and his business partner, Greg Fowler, acquired the TrakMate software from NADA and the company TrakMate (LLC) was formed. TrakMate continues to provide updates and enhancements to the TrakMate system.

In July 2001, TrakMate partnered with another low-cost leader,
ADAM Systems, to provide an interface between TrakMate and the ADAM
F&I software. This interface eliminates the need for double-entry of customer information for ADAM-TrakMate customers, saving valuable time and resources. ADAM's competent sales force have continued to market and sell the TrakMate software to dealerships nationwide.

The time-tested TrakMate system is now available to all dealerships. TrakMate continues the tradition of providing an affordable alternative to its competitors, while continuing to do what it has always done best: Provide you with the tools necessary to sell more vehicles.
